What is Theatre Hosting?

When a tour comes to town, every person involved needs a place to stay. As a unique and wonderful part of UK theatre tradition, local people have always supported their local theatre by renting out their spare rooms to provide accommodation. These generous Theatre Hosts mean that touring Theatre Professionals can find local, friendly and good quality 'digs' to stay while living their dream on the road.  

These days touring company cast & crew often require a range of accommodation; sometimes staying with Hosts, and sometimes in self-contained accommodation.  

At TheatreDigsBooker we’re always looking for all types of accommodation – from a spare room, to self-contained homes!

Budgets are always tight in theatre so we ask Hosts to charge as little as possible but this is much more than renting a room to holiday-makers. This is becoming part of a community and supporting your local theatre all in one!

Who you'll be Hosting...

Our Guests are predominantly Theatre Professionals who are touring across the UK with their show. They can range from performers to lighting technicians, stage management, wigs and wardrobe, crew and more roles besides.
